Introduction This tutorial presents a quick method for creating a demo video using screen capture along with content recorded from a webcam on a Windows 11 computer.
Hardware
Windows 11 PC
External Webcam or Smartphone
Software
MS Clipchamp - This free software is preinstalled on Windows 11. If Clipchamp is not installed on your computer, you can download it from the Microsoft Store.
Note: Ensure that students upload their edited videos to their RPI OneDrive accounts.
Creation Process
Write a Script
List the items that must be recorded. Consider adjusting the font sizes of an object to be captured.
Include narration in the script.
Set up the Webcam (recorded clips can be edited later), and select the appropriate camera from Clipchamp.
Select the appropriate audio input from Clipchamp.
Record Screen and Webcam Content using Clipchamp
Edit the Materials using Clipchamp
Import a video clip taken by a smartphone and sync with the screen capture as needed.
Ungroup both the screen capture and webcam content so that they can be edited separately.
Resize, clip, and position the content as needed.
Edit the audio streams (This feature has not been tested).
Add additional elements, such as text and arrows.
Export the final edited video in 1080p format.
Save the project to your computer by selecting the "Save to your computer" option.
